Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender and ZeroPoint will carry the platform’s residential, places and infrastructure work, with a portfolio-wide rebrand rolling out over the next twelve months

LOS ANGELES, October 7, 2026 – Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company founded by Daniel Kaufman, today announced the launch of eight brands that will serve as the public face of everything the platform designs, builds and operates. The brands, Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender and ZeroPoint, organize the company’s work into three categories: Residential, Places and Infrastructure. Full brand details are available at www.thekaufmanco.com/platforms.

The launch is the next step in building out the Kaufman & Company platform, which today spans ten operating companies across residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure and venture capital. Over the next year, every asset in the company’s current portfolio and future pipeline will be rebranded under the brand that matches its asset class and the people it serves.

Why Brands, and Why Now

As the platform has grown to ten operating companies, the names on the paperwork stopped matching how residents, partners and cities actually experience the work. A family looking for an attainable home, a nurse looking for an apartment near the hospital, a retiree looking for an active community, and a hyperscale tenant looking for power and capacity all need very different things. The brands give each of those audiences a clear answer about what they are getting, before they ever need to know which entity built it.

Each brand represents a community or asset class focus, not a separate legal entity. Every brand is endorsed by Kaufman & Company and is designed, built, and operated by one of its ten operating companies, so the development discipline, balance sheet, and long-term ownership behind every address stays the same.

“We have been building across almost every asset class at once, and the work deserved names that say what it is,” said Daniel Kaufman, Founder and CEO of Kaufman & Company. “A Haven community, a Foundry community and a ZeroPoint campus solve very different problems. Our operating companies still do the building. The brands tell residents, partners and cities what they can count on from us, wherever we show up.”

Residential

Haven, Attainable Housing. A better place to call home. Haven builds communities with the same quality and care as any other Kaufman & Company address, priced and structured to stay within reach. Haven is built on a simple belief: attainable housing is an infrastructure problem, not a charity problem, and the fix is more well-built supply, not lower standards. Haven delivers new construction apartment and townhome communities, public-private partnerships with housing authorities and tax credit programs, and walkable, village-scale planning. Operated by Design Build Affordable. Featured concepts include Haven at Shelburne in Shelburne, Vermont, introduced as Orchard Hill Commons in partnership with Oldivai, and Heron Bend in Southwest Florida.

Foundry, Workforce Housing Communities. Built for everyday life. Foundry builds well-designed homes in the places working households need them most, near employment centers, transit, and everyday life. Foundry stands for the teachers, nurses, tradespeople, and first responders who keep a city running and are too often priced out of the neighborhoods where they work. Its homes are strong, modern, and built to last, delivered through downtown and transit-served infill, adaptive reuse, modular construction, and multi-site portfolios. Each community takes its name from the place it serves. Operated by DanReDev. Featured concepts include Falls Landing in Winooski, Vermont, delivered with Oldivai and DanReDev, and the confidential, multi-state Beacon Portfolio.

Trellis, Residential Communities. More ways to feel at home. Trellis is the scalable middle market brand, building the townhomes, cottages, small multifamily buildings, and build-to-rent neighborhoods that sit between a single-family subdivision and a high-rise tower. It is the housing type that has grown hardest to find in most American cities, and Trellis is built around trails, porches, parks, and shared outdoor space. Operated by Kaufman Development. Trellis includes Greenview Residences, a completed 350-unit community in Fredericksburg, Virginia, delivered three months ahead of schedule and six percent under budget, along with Tideline Terrace in the Bay Area and Crescent Walk Residences in Los Angeles.

Convivium, Co-Living & Communities. Live Vibrantly, Connect Deeply. Convivium is a vertically integrated platform for tech-forward residential, co-living, co-working, and hospitality communities, with smart building systems built in from day one. Convivium answers two pressures at once: renters who are more cost-burdened than ever, and renters who are actively looking for community and belonging. Convivium designs, builds, and operates what it creates rather than handing communities to a third-party manager. For Convivium, the brand and the operating company are one and the same.

Everwell, Living & Wellness. Live well. Longer. Everwell is the active adult and independent living brand, built for people who have no intention of slowing down. Every Everwell community is organized around natural light, fitness, dining, and real connection, with the feel of a well-designed residence rather than an institution, and the option of more support if and when residents need it. Operated by Lonestar Kaufman. The first concept is Everwell at Harpeth Reserve in the Nashville market.

Places

District, Mixed-Use Destinations. Where everything comes together. District builds walkable places where people live, work, dine, gather, and connect within the same few blocks: mixed-use town centers, pedestrian-first streets, and public gathering spaces shaped by the surrounding community. District stands for places that work for more than one reason to visit, which lowers the risk of any single use and keeps streets active throughout the day. Operated by Forge Development Partners. Featured concepts include Mill Creek Junction in Antioch, Tennessee, and the Red Oak Junction brownfield concept.

Weekender, Hotels & Experiences. Stay for the weekend. Remember it longer. Weekender is the company’s design-driven hospitality brand, building boutique and destination hotels around a specific place rather than a repeatable room count, with local food and beverage, outdoor activity, and the character of the destination built into the stay. Operated by DEK Builds. Weekender is being built deliberately, and its first properties will be announced as they move from concept into development.

Infrastructure

ZeroPoint, AI Infrastructure. Infrastructure for the intelligence economy. ZeroPoint is the institutional brand for the physical buildings, power systems, and networks that run the next generation of artificial intelligence and distributed computing. ZeroPoint follows the same discipline as every other brand: start with a working prototype, prove the model, then scale. Its first deployment, Project Zero, is a working distributed micro data center prototype installed on site in Detroit, Michigan, and continues as the brand’s product line for distributed deployments. ZeroPoint’s pipeline includes the Rio Grande Data Campus in El Paso, Texas, and the Wasatch Data Campus in Utah, both joint ventures between Lonestar Kaufman Development Partners and ServerDomes Global. Operated by Kaufman Development.

The Rollout

The brand rollout will continue over the next twelve months. During that period, Kaufman & Company will rebrand every asset in its current portfolio and every project in its future pipeline under the brand that fits it, including signage, websites, marketing materials, and resident-facing communications. Several pipeline communities have already moved to their new brands, including Haven at Shelburne, Foundry’s Falls Landing, Trellis’s Greenview Residences and Everwell at Harpeth Reserve. New opportunities entering the pipeline will launch under a brand from day one.

The ten operating companies remain the builders and operators behind every brand, and existing partners, lenders and municipal relationships continue unchanged.

“The rollout is going to take a year because we want to get it right, one community at a time,” said Kaufman. “By this time next year, anyone who drives past one of our properties, visits one of our sites or partners with us on a deal should be able to tell exactly what we built and who we built it for.”
